WWLA runs a successful mentoring programme, pairing up more experienced lawyers with less experienced lawyers including new graduates and law students.

WWLA has found that a difficulty often experienced by women lawyers is a lack of contacts with whom to discuss their options, career direction, and any work problems. Put simply, women lawyers often lack mentors.

Mentoring with through the WWLA is an informal programme and can be whatever the mentor and mentee want it to be. Some pairs simply meet regularly for lunch and others have a more formal career development focus.
